Yamaha Aids Slovakian Theatre Technicians Of The Future

As well as being in continuous use for teaching, the Academy’s theatre stages a wide range of productions, all the technical elements being designed and operated by the students.

Installed by Bratislava-based MediaTech Central Europe, the Yamaha equipment includes an M7CL-48 digital console  - the theatre’s main mixing desk - with two DME24N digital mixing engines. The Academy also features several PA systems based on EMX series powered mixers, with BR series loudspeakers in the rehearsal rooms.

The theatre’s main PA is mixed as LCR, plus effects and monitor channels. Every performance requires a different setup, so the DME24Ns are used as system processors. These allow students to store, immediately recall and modify different configurations, depending on the type of production. They are also used for loudspeaker, talkback and intercom management.
