Juergen Kreis, Business Executive VPLT

VPLT – The Professional Lighting & Sound Association of Germany - is Europe's biggest trade association in the area of Media Systems and Entertainment Technology. The annual turnover of VPLT's 1,100 plus membership consistently reached over 3 billion euros over the past few years. The Association has its headquarters in Hannover and represents the Industry on a political level, in the areas of creation of norms and standards and in education and vocational training.

The “German Event Academy“ (DEA) is the academy of VPLT and it offers a comprehensive range from daytime classes to 16-week-master classes. The DPVT is the Certification Board of the Entertainment Industry in Germany. Borne by the leading German trade associations, it offers certification for rental companies as well as expertise and product certifications for the entire media and event industry.

Due to its regular and growing activities in the areas of media systems and system integration, VPLT has made the decision to expand its services as well as its staff. From the beginning of 2012, Juergen Kreis has joined the VPLT-team in the position of business executive. He will support the chairman Peter Klotz and vice-chairman Dietmar Rottinghaus in their positions as the responsible executive board of the association.

Florian von Hofen will continue being in charge of important areas of VPLT's work, such as the VPLT magazine, cooperation with Prolight+Sound Exhibitions / Messe Frankfurt and all other activities in the field of Media Systems and System Integration.
