Vinten Radamec’s New Control Technology Makes Its UK Debut at BVE 2012

New Fusion FHR-35 remote pan and tilt head for the first time in the UK at BVE 2012

The pan and tilt head, successfully launched at IBC2011, represents a major step forward in camera robotics and incorporates Vinten Radamec’s new Intelligent Control Engineering (ICE) platform. This new technology enables operators to achieve unprecedented control and accuracy in an innovative and highly compact form. In addition to moving under robotic control, the FHR-35 also provides precise reporting back to the controller, together with zoom and focus from a digital lens.

The FHR-35 is the first Vinten Radamec product to incorporate ICE and is suitable for a broad range of applications from legislatures to studios. The ICE motion control system and drive train within the FHR-35 deliver both the fastest and the slowest broadcast quality movement, while the pan and tilt head has been designed to give the widest pan and tilt range. The ICE motion control system is also able to drive a wide range of full-servo broadcast lenses using analogue, digital or hybrid control modes.

Also on show at BVE 2012 will be a range of Vinten Radamec’s innovative control systems, covering the full spectrum of applications. The Fusion FCS-16 compact controller will be shown running the latest VRC control system software. This compact solution has a built-in touchscreen and is compatible with the full range of Fusion robotic camera supports. The FCS-16 is ideally combined with the new FHR-35 to create a cost effective robotic camera support solution.
