Peter Harman, Product Manager at Vinten®, has received the Institute of Videography’s (IOV) prestigious Clive Ireland Award in a recent ceremony at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena.

Named after one of the inaugural members of the IOV, ‘The Clive’ is presented to those who have made significant, long-term contributions to the institute and the videography industry. Peter was selected to receive the honour from the IOV because of his extensive knowledge and passion for the industry and his continued support.

In presenting the award, IOV’s Kevin Cook said, “Peter is a big believer in what the IOV stands for and understands the synergy between our aims of building a quality-led industry, and the aims of Vinten to produce the industry's best camera support technology.”

"While much of the activity and support offered by Peter is at an IOV executive level, he is equally well known and thought of by members at a local level, and I've never heard a bad word spoken about Peter by anyone in the industry,” concluded Kevin.

“It is a huge surprise and honour to have even been considered for this award,” said Peter. “I’m overwhelmed by the genuine reaction from everybody and I’m extremely proud to be ‘one of the gang’. All I’ve ever set out to do is arm the IOV membership and wider videography community with the facts, so that they are better placed to make informed decisions in the future.”
