Trio Video Keeps TEMPO with Grass Valley Multiformat HD Equipment
Set to hit the road this month, the 48-foot Tempo is designed for quick setups and teardowns of HD projects (saving producers time and money) and can easily fit into tight spaces where larger trucks cannot – yet it still features some of the most sought after HD production gear required by producers. The central control room area alone includes a monitor wall with over 67 individual high-resolution LCD screens.
To handle any type of HD project (all versions of 720p or 1080i), the truck carries a dozen Grass Valley LDK 8000 Elite HD cameras, a 4 M/E Grass Valley Kalypso™ HD Video Production Center switcher, a Trinix™ NXT HD video router, and a Concerto™ Series audio router. The Concerto is used to distribute audio, timecode, and machine control commands.
Trio Video is a long time Grass Valley customer, having installed Grass Valley HD production equipment on board all of its other trucks (“Phoenix,” “Rhythm,” and “Tango”) over the past few years.
“We continue to rely on Grass Valley equipment because it allows us to work with a variety of clients that all have different needs,” said Roger Redensek, Project Manager for Trio Video. “Our clients demand the best quality at the most cost-effective prices and this new truck is designed to do just that. There were no compromises made here and we’re proud of the way the new Tempo turned out."
"Trio Video's continued support of Grass Valley for their production trucks is yet another testament to the functionality and affordability of our equipment," said Jeff Rosica, Senior Vice President of Grass Valley. "Trio Video is just one of many OB van providers that continue to return to Grass Valley as they build and equip new trucks."
