ToolsOnAir Releases just:in Version 1.6

Multi-Channel Video Ingest Solution

ToolsOnAir has announced the release of Version 1.6 of just:in, their powerful multi-channel capturing and ingest solution for broadcast video professionals. A part of ToolsOnAir's Broadcast Suite for the Apple Macintosh, just:in offers an innovative, multi-channel ingest solution that includes a host of features essential in today's fast-paced video production environment.

Version 1.6 of just:in includes new features including multi-channel crash, batch and scheduled recording, providing the ideal workflow companion for live event recording, video tape archiving, or capturing satellite feeds based around scheduled events.

"ToolsOnAir engineers have spent countless hours talking with our end users to gain a better understanding of their workflow needs, and we have addressed many of those requests in the version 1.6 upgrade of just:in," explains Manuel Grund, Product Manager of just:in at ToolsOnAir. "We have concentrated our efforts on refining workflow features that will better accommodate a wide range of production scenarios, including automatic fallback with absolute frame accuracy, signal loss detection in both crash and scheduled modes, Avid OP-Atom MXF compatibility, and extended metadata handling."

just:in is designed to seamlessly integrate into the 24/7 production workflow of any broadcast or IPTV station or post-production facility. Its flexible client-server based technology core and edit-during-ingest capability make it an ideal workflow tool for use with non-linear editors from Apple, Adobe and Avid, and with multi-channel hardware interfaces from AJA, Blackmagic Design and Matrox. ToolsOnAir's Broadcast Suite is equally at home in networked or stand-alone modes, with professional storage setups including SAN based solutions.

Version 1.6 of just:in has already been successfully deployed, in combination with ToolsOnAir's LiveCut multi-camera production solution, in high-pressure live scenarios and network broadcast productions in the US and in Europe.
