ToolsOnAir Teams with ENPS to Showcase Workflow Solutions at NAB 2012

Developed by AP's Broadcast Technology division, ENPS is used daily by journalists in more than 800 newsrooms in more than 60 countries for producing, editing, timing, and organizing newscasts. As ToolsOnAir's Director of Marketing Gilbert Leb explains, the company has responded to a growing chorus of demands for ENPS  integration with their just: Broadcast Suite.

"With more than 300 playout channels worldwide running our Broadcast Suite software, we've been receiving more and more requests for running ENPS in conjunction with our playout software," says Leb.

"ToolsOnAir has developed our own MOS server interface, to create the most stable and reliable protocol available for connecting to newsroom systems," Leb adds. "The availability of ENPS integration for our existing and future customers will enable them to create faster and more cost effective playout environments."

MOS, or Media Object Server, is a powerful and widely-adopted open standard communications protocol used to integrate and link newsroom computer systems with broadcast production applications and equipment.

ToolsOnAir's "TV Station in a Mac Mini" goes beyond the current "channel in a box" paradigm, implementing a faster and far more economical setup for multi-channel ingest and playout, including full automation and real-time graphics integration.

ToolsOnAir will introduce ENPS integration at this year's upcoming NAB Convention in Las Vegas. With ToolsOnAir's booth, SL8108, located directly across from the ENPS booth (SL8305), the companies will showcase a complete workflow utilizing these integrated technologies.
