SmallHD and the DP-SLR

DP-SLR

SmallHD, LLC presents one of the most eye-opening product experiences to the mainstream High-Definition filmmaker: an on-camera monitor with the size, pixel density and resolution of a 3 x 5 photo print…
Now known as the DP-SLR.

Pixel density of 270ppi

SmallHD, LLC is an 11-month-old start-up whose original claim to fame has been the creation of the “DP1”: the world’s first on-camera monitor with a true HD resolution (720p).

NAB will be SmallHD’s first public event, and on April 12th it will have the first public viewing of the DP-SLR: a high definition field monitor specifically designed for the HDSLR filmmaker.

This 5.6 inch, 1280 x 800, 10oz, solid aluminum monitor has a pixel density of 270ppi. I’m sure, you have never seen a monitor this sharp, this light and this tough. In fact it has a dpi 2.5 times higher than the highest resolution Apple monitor.

It’s one of those few products you don’t realize you need until you experience it, and as a result, it will likely be one of the most talked about in-class products at NAB.

SmallHD’s first product, the DP1 (an 8.9” 720p monitor), is currently the world’s smallest HD field monitor. That record will be smashed on April 12 in booth C11124.
