SGL Stregthens Avids Relationship with Support for Interplay 2 and IME Partnership
SGL FlashNet provides the archive management for Avid Interplay systems
Avid Interplay Archive 2 is the latest version of the integrated archive solution for Avid Interplay, co-developed, tested, distributed and supported by SGL and Avid. SGL FlashNet provides the archive management for Avid Interplay systems presenting users with instant access to archive, search and restore operations, directly from within Interplay applications.
Avid Interplay 2 adds new capabilities to help remove workgroup distance and time barriers, expand capacity and deploy resources more efficiently; its open production asset management streamlines content creation and automates workflow, so work moves seamlessly between all contributors, whether in the facility or in the field.
Avid’s newly unveiled IME, an open framework for businesses designed to address the rapid changes in the media industry includes Interplay 2 as a key feature. The newly-expanded Interplay product family, which is based on the acquisition of Blue Order, is the foundation of the new framework, and as a key Avid IME partner, SGL’s innovative archive solutions help increase productivity and efficiency for all Avid Interplay users.
SGL products are fully integrated into Avid's systems
SGL products are fully integrated into Avid's systems, co-developed in partnership between SGL and Avid development teams. All products undergo rigorous testing before release and every update to any element of the software bundle is certified by Avid's labs before being released to customers, ensuring continuous compatibility between versions.
Bernie Walsh, SGL’s Worldwide Sales & Joint Managing Director comments, “We’re delighted to highlight our support for Interplay 2 and to partner with Avid as part of the Integrated Media Enterprise framework. SGL FlashNet remains the only fully integrated and tested archive solution for Interplay and our unique strategic alliance, which spans more than five years, is a real-world example of how an open system can transform a broadcast workflow.”
He continues, “Our partnership has been proven at more customer sites around the world than any other third-party provider. SGL and Avid provide a high level of integration and understanding between the Interplay and archive workflow, simplifying production and archive procedures for the customer and thereby reducing costs. We look forward to the continued development of closer integration to facilitate faster, smoother, seamless workflows for our customers.”
