Sennheiser Takes Digital 6000 Series To Daytime Tpi
The Digital 6000 Series of radio microphones brings outstanding audio quality and rock-solid RF wireless transmission to demanding live productions and, as the microphone system of choice of an increasing number of engineers, integrators and suppliers for live performance, permanent installations at venue and for live-to-air broadcast, is fast becoming an essential part of many rental companies’ inventories, with Britannia Row, Stage Sound Services, SSE, Adlib, Capital Sound and Skan PA all having recently invested in substantial systems.
Using the same long-range mode and proprietary Sennheiser Digital Audio Codec as the top-of-the-range Digital 9000 Series, Digital 6000 comprises a two-channel receiver in two different versions, a bodypack and a handheld transmitter, as well as a rack-mount 19” charging unit.
The SKM 6000 wireless live vocal microphone delivers more channels and better transmission performance via the intermodulation-free handheld transmitter, with maximum spectral efficiency and huge signal reliability. Compatibility with Sennheiser and Neumann capsules is via the Sennheiser standard capsule interface, and up to 5.5 hours of trouble free operation is assured with a lithium-ion battery pack.
A recently released free firmware update for all EM 6000 receivers enables a Command function that lets users set up a talkback channel with suitable transmitters, whilst the EM 6000 DANTE has been upgraded to feature a secondary Dante port.
“Those attending Daytime TPi will be able to experience the outstanding abilities of Digital 6000 and we’ll have a range of capsules for them to try,” says Sennheiser channel sales manager Kevin Gwyther-Brown, who will be on hand throughout, along with artist relations manager, Jack Drury. “We’ll also be delighted to talk through our Digital 6000 0% finance deal with anyone who wants to know more about it.”
TPi Daytime takes place on Monday 26 February 2018 at the Pestana Chelsea Bridge Hotel & Spa and is open to attendees of the TPi Awards 2018.
Sennheiser is also sponsoring the Favourite Sound Rental Company Category at the Awards.
