Selenio Gains 150+ Users Worldwide in First 12 Months

Every day, more and more broadcast and media companies in countries across the world are investing in the Selenio platform as a key piece of their infrastructure builds and upgrades. European users include Mediatec Broadcast Sweden, which is using Selenio to provide a video head end (VHE) solution for the playout of two high-definition (HD) IPTV channels from its regional playout facility based in Helsinki, Finland.

“This is the initial phase of our investment plans for video head end solutions within the Mediatec operations, but if it goes well we intend to move towards a consolidated approach where we use Selenio as the common platform for all encoding and playout requirements across our network,” explained Andreas Langell, manager, contribution and distribution services at Mediatec Broadcast Sweden.
