Philips Entertainment Select its first Six UK Distributors for Showline

Philips Entertainment has formalised its current UK distribution network for its range of Showline LED luminaires

Covering the whole of the UK, A.C. Entertainment Technologies, Architainment Lighting, Batmink, Flashlight, Stage Electrics and White Light will now hold an agreed amount of Showline stock and provide full technical support for Showline products.

"Each of these companies already deals with a number of the Philips Entertainment brands. They all appreciate the fact that Philips Entertainment delivers high quality, innovative tools for 'real-world', often demanding lighting applications," says Philips Entertainment's UK Key Account Manager Amber Tomlin. "In the coming months we expect to add a number of additional, equally respected distributors in the UK, Northern Ireland and Scotland, to our UK Showline dealer network."

"All Showline products have been designed in direct response to industry feedback from lighting professionals, continues Tomlin. "They offer exceptional continuity of colour and features across the entire range. This makes them a breeze to use together and also alongside fixtures from Philips Entertainment's brands: Selecon, Strand Lighting and Vari-Lite. This new UK distribution network is totally committed to the Showline range of luminaires and I know they have the determination and knowledge to ensure their total success in the field."

Martin Palmer, Vari-Lite and Showline Product Manager EMEA for Philips Entertainment, adds: "We have been shipping a number of our Showline products for sometime now and they are already proving very successful with rental houses, designers and specifiers. The Showline family of LED luminaires will continue to grow, however today Showline already offers designers an extensive and flexible creative toolbox of professional LED products that can satisfy the needs of all sectors of the entertainment lighting industry."

Showline's LED product range includes the already popular SL NITRO 510. The LED strobe delivers super bright, intense bursts of light, dynamic effects and 'continuous-on' abilities via over 1,300 high-powered LEDs. The 4-foot SL BAR 640 and 6-foot SL BAR 660 linear wash luminaires both deliver exceptional light output and can be used as a wash or as a direct-view linear bar.

Also already shipping is the SL BAR 520 - a two-foot RGBW linear wash luminaire that produces over 8000 lumens of output with six standard 8° lenses. In addition, the SL BAR 520 includes a unique locking system that enables quick connection of multiple units - vertically and horizontally - while retaining perfectly even pixel pitch.

Joining them is the SL STRIP 400 - a compact and bright linear wash luminaire, available in both RGBW and tunable white models; the SL PAR 150 ZOOM, which features a manually adjusted beam angle of 15°-70°; the SL BAND 300 - a compact colour mixing luminaire with a 2000 lumen output; and finally the SL WASH 180 moving LED - an automated wash luminaire that offers intense output and bright vibrant colour choices.

"At the heart of all Showline products is the Harmonize Colour Calibration technology which is a proprietary, advanced LED colour matching system, consisting of three correction modules: RGB, RGBW and Cool White/Warm White," concludes Palmer. "Every Showline fixture undergoes rigorous testing to ensure that they provide consistent colour control between all pixels and luminaires, as well as the highest quality output."
