NewTek Strengthens Collaboration with Mediability in Scandinavia

Customers in the region will gain hands-on access to NewTek’s market-leading NDI® technology

NewTek today announced that it has strengthened its collaboration with Mediability Group, one of Scandinavia’s largest providers of solutions, services and products for the media industry. NewTek’s NDI® technology will be an element of a cutting-edge demonstration area with interconnected production workflows at Mediability’s new headquarters at Media City Bergen.

Visitors to Media City will have the opportunity for a hands-on experience with NewTek solutions, including the company’s IP Series Video Mix Engine VMC1, which enables users to connect, communicate, and share video and audio across the network using NDI. The workflow will also integrate with NewTek’s award-winning NDI native PTZ cameras.

The NVG1 NewTek-Vizrt IP Graphics Server will also be available for demonstration at Media City. The world-class turnkey video system combines NewTek’s software driven video technology with Vizrt’s industry leading Viz Trio character generator and Viz Engine compositing software. Therefore, visitors will be able to witness how to implement the highest quality computer graphics and motion graphics into any production.

About NDI

NDI is in use on millions of devices and allows multiple video systems to identify and communicate with one another over IP. NDI can encode, transmit and receive many streams of high quality, low latency, frame-accurate video and audio in real time. This benefits any network-connected video device, including video mixers, graphics systems, capture cards, and many other production devices. This makes it possible to exponentially increase the number of sources available for live production switching, without directly attaching to devices, changing locations, or investing in expensive, high-bandwidth networks that simply replace SDI-based workflows.
