New head of customer support and professional services for Europe and Africa appointed at Harris Broadcast Communications

Splitting his time between the Munich office and the Harris U.K. headquarters, Kappel will report to Mathias Eckert, VP of sales and services for the Europe and Africa region. Kappel boasts extensive experience in the professional services and information technology (IT) arena. He joins Harris from Avid, where he was responsible for developing professional services and customer-focused activities across a large number of countries. Prior to that, he was the European professional services manager for Silicon Graphics Inc (SGI). Kappel also brings to Harris more than a decade of experience in the IT world, as he held different engineering and strategic marketing positions within the Siemens organisation.
