Live slow motion and super motion replays

EVS introduces XTnano, a cost-effective SD/HD replay server developed for live broadcasters and OB facilities requiring essential and reliable replay solutions.

XTnano is the perfect toolbox for multiple live production operations, such as live slow motion and super motion replays, as well as clipping and playlist creations. XTnano is built in a 4 RU chassis offering 4 configurable channels (2 cameras IN and 2 OUT for preview and program control, or 3 IN and 1 PGM) and native support of DVCPRO HD and DVCPRO 50 codecs. The new server offers advanced security features, such as RAID technology and redundant power suppliers to guarantee no operational failures.

Dual gigabit Ethernet networking capabilities

With its dual gigabit Ethernet networking capabilities, the XTnano replay system allows faster than real time file transfers to removable media and the most popular post-production tools. It is also possible to simultaneously play and transfer content to other EVS servers, including the XT[2]+ and XS production servers.

XTnano is controlled by the Nano Remote, designed to provide essential functions for live events and sports replay actions, such as instant slow motion replays and highlights with an unrivalled level of control and reactivity. The Nano controller is a compact and robust control panel with a jog knob that provides unmatched frame accuracy, a T-bar and an LCD display with a RS422 connection to the mainframe.

Pierre L’Hoest, Chief Executive Officer for EVS said: “With the introduction of XTnano, EVS expands its range of servers with an entry level solution that meets the demands of medium to small sized OB and production facilities requiring a cost-effective replay system that is based on field proven technology.”
