Imagine Communications Strengthens Sales Force in Russia and CIS

Based in Moscow, Vanag will be responsible for bolstering the company’s existing client relationships and establishing inroads to new business as the region deliberates a transition from hardware-defined infrastructure to software-based architecture.

Vanag has enjoyed a lengthy and successful career in sales and business development in the broadcast and telecommunications industries, most recently with AVerMedia, a manufacturer of video capture cards, encoders and multi-platform viewing solutions; where he was in charge of business development across Russia, CIS and the Baltics. He has also held business development and account management positions at Riedel Communications and Canon’s broadcast division.

Imagine Communications continues to invest in baseband technology to support existing infrastructures in regions such as Russia/CIS, while advocating and supporting a “Your path, Your pace” approach that enables broadcasters to move to IP at a gradual pace by leveraging a hybrid SDI/IP environment. This enables media companies to fully realize investments in baseband while at the same time exploiting some of the cost and agility advantages of IP-based environments.
