IABM gears up for biggest IBC presence to date

State of the Industry Conference Session, Design and Innovation Awards and Exclusive Member Lounges Planned for IBC2015

IABM is set for its biggest ever presence at this year’s IBC Show in Amsterdam.  Leading the way for the broadcast and media technologies industry, IABM will once again host its highly-anticipated State of the Industry Breakfast on Friday 11 September between 8am – 10am in Room E102 at the RAI.

The thought provoking session will give an understanding of the dynamics and disrupters of the industry, together with vital objective business data and informed debate. IABM Director of Technology and Strategic Insight, John Ive will host the session alongside CEO, Peter White who will deliver a keynote address.

The session also includes a panel debate featuring key industry executives discussing the most pressing issues and insights the industry is facing. This year’s panel includes: Charlie Vogt, CEO, Imagine Communications; Bob De Haven, General Manager, Communications & Media, Microsoft, Steve Canepa GM, Global Media & Entertainment Industry, IBM and Jeff Endlund, CTO Communications, Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

This year, two exclusive Member Lounges will be available between Friday – Tuesday in Hall 8 F54 and level two of the new Amtrium Building within the RAI.  Facilities include meeting rooms, complimentary Wi-Fi, business centre, an area to relax and unwind away from the show floor and a schedule of activities that members can take advantage of during their visit to the show.

IABM will also announce the winners of the prestigious 2015 Design and Innovation Awards on Saturday 12 September between 6pm – 9pm in the Emerald Room. The awards recognise new solutions that offer significant benefits or new opportunities to the broadcast and media industry. The winning entries will be put forward to the IABM’s prestigious Peter Wayne Award, to be announced at the IABM Annual International Conference in December 2015.

Following its successful debut at NAB2015, IABM.TV has received over 18,000 views. The team will be on the show floor once again to capture the conference sessions and conduct interviews, giving those unable to attend the show the chance to be kept up to date with the latest news, business commentary and event coverage.
