IABM Conference to Address Changing Media Landscape

Programme for Annual International Business Conference developed to help delegates make sense of the changing media landscape

The IABM (International Association of Broadcasting Manufacturers) is hosting its annual International Business Conference on 5-6 December aimed at high level decision-makers and strategists in the broadcast, telecom and new media  markets.

The conference, titled Navigating through the changing media landscape, brings together experts and thought leaders to deliver a series of presentations and panel discussions that will examine convergence across the broadcast sector. Key topics that will be covered include the future of broadcasting, technology enablers for TV Everywhere services, including the transition to cloud, and the role start-ups have to play in a rapidly developing market.

The must-attend event will examine the technology and business drivers for new consumption models such as TV Everywhere, and address how providers can respond to evolving consumer needs in order to drive growth.

A number of high profile speakers from industry-leading organisations, such as Harris Broadcast, Ericsson and Signiant, will provide insightful and thought-provoking keynotes over the course of the two days.

Peter White, director general, IABM, is presenting the first keynote which addresses the IABM’s latest market intelligence: “There are a number of trends that are currently impacting upon the ways in which we do business,” says White. “The opening keynote, and indeed the overarching theme of the conference, is therefore focused on these changes, to address both the challenges presented and also the inherent opportunities.”
