Fabelaktiv Chooses Sony Technology for HD Studio Upgrade

The HD upgrade includes delivery of a number of the latest cameras from the Sony HDC-2500 line-up supplemented by HDC-P1 cameras. In addition, Fabelaktiv has selected the Sony MVS vision mixer complemented by Sony displays and award winning Sony Trimaster EL OLED products. The full HD solution will also include the installation of a LSB VSM studio control system.

As part of the HD studio upgrade, Fabelaktiv has also chosen to replace its current analogue wireless microphone system with the Sony DWX Digital Wireless Solution. The technology is compatible with Fabelaktiv’s existing XDCAM HD 4:2:2 EFP digital wireless cameras.

The design, project management and delivery will be handled by the Live Production Solutions Team based in Basingstoke, UK. The HD upgrade will be completed in May/June 2012.

Fabelaktiv produces a variety of TV productions, ranging from presentations, events and commercials to children’s television and documentaries. Fabelaktiv is best known for producing the weekly TV lotteries ‘Lotto’, ‘Viking-Lotto’ and ‘Extra’ for the Norwegian national broadcaster NRK.

Fabelaktiv’s headquarters are situated in Hamar, a city north of Oslo. Here the company’s 35 employees (including freelancers) work in a state-of-the-art 285 square metre digital studio, fully equipped with Sony’s studio technology. The main office has facilities for live studio production, post production, single camera production, creative development and event production.
