EVS Launches IP Link for Integration of Adobe Premiere Pro

New plugin panel integrates with Adobe Premiere Pro for quick access and import of clips from EVS’ IPDirector suite

At NAB, EVS, the leading provider of live video production systems, will launch a new feature for its IPDirector suite of video production management applications. IP Link is a plugin panel allowing users to search through clips reordered on EVS servers when using the next version of Adobe® Premiere® Prosoftware. The solution will be presented at NAB in the EVS entertainment and Enriched Live Solution demo areas.

“At NAB this week, Adobe is revealing some incredible advancements in the next version of our video editing tools. Our users appreciate advancements in live video that enable them to work as efficiently as possible, and IP Link integrated with Adobe will do just that,” said Simon Williams, director of strategic relations at Adobe. ”This latest collaboration with EVS will give the market greater choice, flexibility and ease of use in their video production workflows.”

EVS’ latest integration with Adobe will allow users to search, preview, edit and import media from IPDirector nearline storage into Adobe PremierePro. The search facility will allow for quick text and advanced search for clips, edits and logs, which can then be previewed directly from IP Link and imported into Adobe Premiere Pro by a drag & drop function without being moved or copied.

“Following last year’s integration of Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 with our industry-leading XT/XS high-speed production servers, we wanted to work more closely with Adobe and strengthen our collaboration with their products,” said Bernard Stas, SVP Product Strategy at EVS. “Using IP Link will benefit both users and facilities as there’s no need to have an additional IPDirector workstation for accessing, reviewing and the importing of media, so this saves them both time and money.”

IP Link will be released with the next version of Adobe Premiere Pro – EVS and Adobe will hold a joint presentation to announce the IP Link plugin at the EVS booth on Tuesday 9 April at 4.30pm.

At NAB, Adobe is previewing the next generation of its professional video and audio products (NAB Booth SL3910).
