First triple encoding XT3/XS production server
At IBC, EVS will also showcase the evolution of its XT3/XS production servers, featuring the first triple encoding capabilities. The system is the first to simultaneously support I-Frame codec for high precision live replays, Long GOP Sony HD XDCam 422 50Mbps codec for high quality  reduced bitrate media sharing, and Proxy for augmented connectivity and control of the production operations. The new features will be available in early 2013 and will open up tremendous workflow possibilities, making the EVS server platform the ultimate backbone of any broadcast operation!
The XT3 server is at the heart of EVS’Sports360°. It’s been designed with advanced capabilities such as eight recording/playback channels in loop mode, multi-codec native support, and embedded high/low-res media management to get the most out of any recorded frame at the highest speed and reliability. The new XT3 platform is the industry’s first server featuring six non-stop 3Gbps feed ingest and playout channel capabilities for live and near live 3D or 3G production operations.
The XS production server is built on EVS’ unique loop recording technology. Based on its powerful dual networking capabilities (broadcasting and IT), the XS makes recorded media instantly and directly available throughout the production network for simultaneous preview, rough editing, archiving, playback or post-production. The XS can be configured with six full 3D/1080p channels (3G/Dual link) and offers the same features in a 3D environment. In addition, it can be configured in SpotBox mode to be controlled through protocols by third-party systems.

Turning viewers into directors with EVS’ C-Cast tools
Since a successful deployment across multiple summer events, EVS continues to upgrade its C-Cast technology, which allows viewers to use their smartphones, tablets or laptops to access extra content and view clips the way they want and from the angle they want to view it.
Some of its latest features will see C-Cast offering the ability to replay clips at variable speeds as well as the ability to import third-party statistics and analysis information integrated into a timeline. With a fully modular and service-oriented architecture, C-Cast adapts to any kind of business or workflow, offering advanced integration with third-party web systems and data import such as statistics or social media data feed.
