Dutch Media Hub

The Dutch Media Hub offers (digital) content providers a convenient one-stop shop for safe and efficient storage, enhancement and distribution of all content to all countries within Europe. The ‘hub’ offers the highest level of expertise, combining a broad selection of state-of-the-art creative, media and facility services, all concerning digital media.

The Netherlands is best positioned to become the main digital portal to Europe because of its geographic location and its excellent fiber connections. The Netherlands hosts the largest Internet Exchange in the world, the AMS-IX (Amsterdam Internet Exchange). Furthermore, the Dutch media and ICT industry are exceptionally well developed, efficient and innovative.

As many as thirty companies have now partnered in the consortium, which had its official launch in June 2009. The Dutch Media Hub is starting trials with several major US studios, which at this phase are invited to provide their suggestions for how to best meet their distribution needs. Discussions are ongoing with all interested parties and will intensify at NAB.
