The DT 770 Pro: A Studio Legend, now in a 32-Ohm Version

Less Input, More Output: beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro reference headphones can now be used for mobile mixing

For experienced sound professionals, the beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro is an old friend used in countless studios throughout the world. To celebrate the company’s 88th anniversary beyerdynamic, the audio specialist from Heilbronn in Germany launched a special edition of the DT 770 Pro with an impedance of 32 ohms for optimal use with smartphones, mobile players and notebooks. It soon sold out, but beyerdynamic is now meeting the enormous demand for this special model by starting series production of the DT 770 Pro with 32 ohms.

DT 770 Pro – the studio legend goes mobile
The roots of the legendary beyerdynamic DT 770/880/990 line go back to 1981. Their outstanding sound and durable design laid the foundation for these headphones’ unprecedented studio and stage career. The 32-ohm version of the DT 770 Pro is the latest addition to the series and has been optimized for use with portable devices.

The new technologies of the mobile computing revolution – tablet computers, smartphones, etc. – enable creative professionals to turn their inspirations into results, anytime and anywhere, without having to get to the studio first.

The output of mobile devices is usually too weak to handle standard studio impedances of 80 to 250 ohms. The result is a strained sound that isn’t loud enough because high impedances are too much for the mini-amplifiers. The new 32-ohm version of the DT 770 Pro is the solution for all artists who don’t want to go without their favorite equipment for checking and mixing audio while on-the-go. This is because the new model offers exactly the same sound quality as its studio-optimized counterparts and maintains large volume reserves even when working with weaker output levels.

DT 770 Pro – proven and reliable
As most audio professionals know, DT 770 Pro headphones are virtually indestructible. Even if you are unfortunate enough to experience a breakage, nearly every part can be replaced individually, thanks to intelligent design and implementation. The new DT 770 Pro maintains this clever design ethos by offering a shorter connection cable (1.6 m) to keep things convenient when using it with portable devices.

About beyerdynamic
With a pioneering spirit and the highest quality in demand, beyerdynamic GmbH & Co. KG in Heilbronn, Germany develops and produces first-class audio products. Even today, 88 years after the foundation of the company, premium headphones, microphones and conference systems are developed in Germany and mainly handcrafted.

With the development of the DT 48 headphone (1937), which, today, is still manufactured according to the same technical principle, the young engineer Eugen Beyer laid the foundations for the company’s success. Later beyerdynamic microphones became famous all over the world: The E 1000 ribbon microphone was used on the first Beatles tour in 1966. More and more international and national musicians and bands like Abba, Bob Dylan or Udo Lindenberg used the equipment of beyerdynamic in the seventies and eighties.

Over the last years, especially in the field of digital wireless conference systems, the audio specialist developed exemplary products and new technologies. In 1998 beyerdynamic presented the world innovation: the MCW wireless conference system. The unique Revoluto technology ensures the company’s leadership in technology all over the world.

Professional headsets for TV commentators and headsets with digital noise cancellation for pilots and interpretation systems complement the current product range. The most recent references for engineers from Heilbronn also include headphones for 5.1 Surround Sound (Headzone), high-end headphones with innovative Tesla technology (T 1, T 50 p, T 5 p, T 70, T 70 p, T 90) and headsets with the patented EarPatron hearing protection technology (e.g. SIS). With the beyerdynamic MANUFAKTUR the traditional company relies on custom-made design and underlines its position as a premium manufacturer.
