Digitale Cinematographie 2012 – Open for Registration Now

The “Alte Kongresshalle”, located at Theresienhöhe Munich, will again serve as venue for the Digitale Cinematographie

As from the beginning of last week, registration is open to partner companies wishing to exhibit at this year’s “Digitale Cinematographie”, which will take place on 5th and 6th July 2012. In this anniversary year - 10 years Digitale Cinematographie - it will also be possible to book small stands. To qualify for the early booking discount, it is necessary to register by 24/4/2012.

The “Alte Kongresshalle”, located at Theresienhöhe Munich, will again serve as venue for the Digitale Cinematographie. The wonderfully-restored congress hall, dating back to the 1950s, was first used last year; it proved to be an excellent choice and received high praise from exhibitors and visitors alike. The three event organisers, Gerhard Baier, Martin Ludwig (Ludwig Kameraverleih GmbH) and Martin Kreitl (MKMedia Production), have decided to hold the event in summer again to provide visitors the opportunity to attend the film festival and to avoid the busy periods in spring and autumn, when a huge number of events are expected to occur. One further plus point is the prospect of sunny weather; it will hopefully be possible to use the delightful inner courtyard of the congress hall for discussions or short breaks.

Preparations for this year’s Digitale Cinematographie have been underway for several weeks now. On Monday the 5th of March the invitations were sent to the partner companies specialising in camera technology, and in solutions and products related to production, post-production, backup technology and archiving.

A combination of three ways of presentation offers maximum added value to visitors: An exhibition, workshops and screenings will be held on two floors. As well as the standard 12-square-metre display areas, this year exhibitors will, for the first time, have the opportunity to reserve smaller display areas (4 square metres in size). The highly successful workshop concept, which allows partner companies to present their products and services, will remain unchanged. These workshops will be held in rooms of various sizes, located in the quieter areas of the congress hall.

Exhibitors can benefit from an early booking discount offer, provided they register by 24/4/2012. Owing to the restricted number of display areas and the limited room capacities, early registration is highly recommended, both with regard to reserving display stands and having workshop presentations confirmed. Allocations will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.

The setting-up work will start on Wednesday 4th July 2012. The event takes place on Thursday 5th July 2012, from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm, and Friday 6th July 2012, from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm. The dismantling work will be carried out afterwards. The Digitale Cinematographie will be supported by various  marketing activities as well as professional reporting from the media partners. Interested companies should contact Mr Stefan Lindner directly by e-mail (sl@digitale-cinematographie.de).
