Cloud Based Cinegy Workflow Solution Installed at ChaulaTV in Latvia

Cinegy are pleased to announce the installation of Cinegy Workflow at ChaulaTV, Latvia

ChaulaTV is a Latvian youth TV channel broadcasting 24/7. All its content is created in studio and ‘on location’ by high school students with the help of industry media professionals.

“We chose Cinegy Workflow because it provides consolidated, fully integrated, IT based solution for production and broadcasting. Our technology partner VESet, offered us a cloud based Cinegy infrastructure and thus we didn’t have to invest in IT infrastructure, network or IT competency”, says Janis Vaisla of ChaulaT.

Cinegy’s Latvian based partner VESet built a Cinegy based cloud service for ChaulaTV. The solution includes virtualized Cinegy Archive, Cinegy Desktop and Cinegy Air. The virtualization platforms used are VmWare ESX4 and Microsoft Hyper-V with RemoteFX. The Cloud based Cinegy Workflow solution allows ChaulaTV to ingest media assets into Cinegy Archive, do editing and logging, create playlists and broadcast remotely from home. This is important as most of the ChaulaTV’s production team is made up of students.

“This service allows you to have your own TV channel that can be broadcasted to any TV Content Delivery Networks”. Says Gatis Galis Chairman of the Board VESet.  “To acquire this you don’t have to do any long-term investments in infrastructure. The Solution is built upon Microsoft Windows and Microsoft SQL server and the media asset management, post-production and broadcast automation is provided by Cinegy”.

An essential part of ChaulaTV’s production is to broadcast live from the studio in the morning and ingest the same video feed into the Cinegy Archive. Ingested material is then used to prepare their afternoon programs. Cinegy Ingest, Cinegy Archive, Cinegy Desktop and Cinegy Air allows ChaulaTV to achieve this.
