Broadcast Solution Exhibits at IBC 2011 in Amsterdam

Broadcast Solutions GmbH delivered end of June 2011 a 16-camera HD OB truck to KBS

This year again Broadcast Solutions will show some of the latest state of the art broadcast vehicles as well as brand new exciting Satcom and broadcast products at our exhibition booth OE110 (outside broadcast area near the main entrance in front of Hall 1-6).

Broadcast Solutions delivered 16-Camera HD-OB Truck to KBS/South Korea

Broadcast Solutions GmbH delivered end of June 2011 a 16-camera HD OB truck to KBS (Korean Broadcasting Systems), the largest TV station and production service provider in South Korea. The project was realized by Broadcast Solutions GmbH as a general contractor in close cooperation with the Korean partner Dong Yang Digital Co. Ltd., planning and commissioning was supervised by WIREWORX GmbH. The production period between order and delivery was 8 months.

The trailer is equipped with modern air conditioning and electrical installations, as well as two side drawers with 10,2 m x 0,8 m and 10 m x 1,4 m. At the backside an electrical cable reel system with 18 automated drums and the external connection box are mounted. The interior space with 25 workstations is divided into four areas: equipment room, production area, audio control room and vision engineering. The production area includes a 4 M/E Sony MVS-8000 vision mixer and a 2.5 M/E Sony MVS 6000 vision mixer for redundancy or parallel productions. All video signals are displayed at TV Logic Displays with Evertz Multiviewers. The signal distribution and conversion is realized via a Snell Cygnus 288x480 matrix and Lynx Technology Modular Equipment. Audio control and video control rooms are equipped with Genelec 5.1 monitoring, the core of the audio control room is a Studer Vista 9 with built-in audio switcher. Also integrated in the vehicle are a Riedel Artist 128x128 intercom system and the VSM control integrated control system. In total 16 cameras from Sony (HDC-1000 HDC-1500 and HDC-3300) were delivered with Fujinon lenses and Sachtler tripods.

KBS will use the vehicle for the first time at the 13th IAAF World Athletics Championships from 27 August to 4 September 2011 in Daegu/South Korea as host broadcaster. Further deployments in the areas of sports, shows and live events for KBS in South Korea are already planned.
