Broadcast Microwave Services Europe GmbH (BMS Europe GmbH) announces the introduction of a new line of license-free HD (high definition) digital COFDM microwave camera-back transmitters at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show in Las Vegas April 12 through 15, 2010.

Extended battery life, ultra small size, light weight, and H.264 functionality

The products continue BMS’ tradition of marrying leading digital microwave technology with functionality, as the new transmitters feature small form factor and operate in the 2.4 GHz (model NT2423SD-HD) and 5.8 GHz (model NT5823SD-HD) license-free bands for Europe and the United States, respectively. Free HD roaming, high flexibility, without compromises in reliability, enables customers to provide their digital content during daily routine easily. Delivery is slated for early May 2010.

Commenting on the product debut, BMS Europe Managing Director, Rainer Horn, said, “BMS is excited about the introduction of these new products at such an important broadcasting venue as NAB. With these products broadcasters in multiple markets can now present technologically savvy broadcasts to audiences with an ever-demanding desire for HD content. Among the features highly prized by camera operators are the products’ extended battery life, ultra small size, light weight, and H.264 functionality.”
