KSC Product Line
BFE is a leading provider of broadcast control and master control room management systems. Within the organization 20 people are in charge of developing the KSC Commander and KSC Manager solutions with more than 900 deployed systems worldwide.

KSC IS Control Panels
The latest development within the KSC product range features a progressive addition to the KSC control panel series and the Intelligent Switch (IS) control panels.

Based on the internationally highly acclaimed KSC operation concept, the IS control panels offer additional value:

·    Newly developed heavy-duty long-life buttons for 24/7 operation with increased scratch resistance, dedicated engineering for KSC applications
·    Optimized hardware layout leads to a reduction in device depth to 53 mm
·    Button resolution has been upgraded to 64 x 32 pixels with 64 colors and 8 selectable brightness levels
·    4 GPI/O contacts in each control panel allow decentralized GPI/O infrastructures and external relays on every operator position

The request of many KSC customers for operation concepts far beyond simple switching operations has led KSC engineers to the decision to increase the button / RU ratio:

With the redesign of the IS series, 18 buttons can now be arranged in a 19”, 1 RU device. The well-known BD51-HD has now been upgraded to BD54-IS offering three additional buttons.

Further increasing the button ratio, 72 buttons are placed on a 19”, 2 RU control panel, the 72-IS.

Every button is freely configurable with the KSC System Manager. With definable colors for each button, color changes can be made according to functions or states of signals.

With unlimited pages and connections among these, specified navigation can be created according to user applications.

All IS control panels can be equipped with high-resolution rotary encoders for use with KSC leveling adaption functions.

BFE in the Middle East
BFE’s new branch office in Dubai Studio City supports activities in the GCC region. Major projects for the Ministry of Culture and Information in Saudi Arabia, MBC in Dubai and Al Kass Sports Channel in Doha, Qatar have already been delivered.
