Apantac Launches 4K Converters

.

Apantac, provider of cost-effective multiviewers, video walls, extenders, and signal processing solutions is launching its new family of 4K converters at NAB 2014, booth N5212.

Micro-4K: 4K to HD Down-Converter
This affordable mini converter down-converts professional 4K/UHD signals to HD for supporting 4K on both HD and HDMI devices. The Micro-4K supports four 3G-SDI inputs, which are down-converted to both HDMI and SDI simultaneously, with outputs up to 1080P. UHD sources can now affordably be viewed on inexpensive LCD monitors or routed in the existing 3G infrastructure, making this an ideal solution for 4K broadcast and mobile production.

The Micro-4K supports embedded SDI and HDMI audio, supports 8 channels of embedded audio and offers a stereo analog audio output.

Micro-4K-DP: 4K to Display Port 1.2 Converter
The Micro-4K-DP provides an affordable solution for viewing 4K content on monitors that use Display Port 1.2 (DP 1.2). Display Port is a display interface that is an alternative to HDMI. Display Port is capable of displaying 4K UHD resolution up to 3840x2160 at 60 Hz. The Micro-4K-DP is an ideal solution for both 4K production and post-production applications.
