AKG DMS700 Wireless System Keeps Peter Thorn’s Guitar Rocking

Thorn’s latest album Guitar Nerd, was released in 2011 and is available online at the iTunes store, on Amazon and CDbaby

With a nearly full schedule throughout the year, performing in his own bands, touring with GRAMMY Award-winning artists and recording in studio sessions, Peter Thorn, the self-proclaimed Guitar Nerd, relies on HARMAN’s AKG DMS700 wireless system during live performances.  Working with artists such as Melissa Etheridge, Chris Cornell, Jewel, Alicia Keys and Don Henley, among others throughout his career, Thorn credits his guitar’s “true” sound to the reliability of AKG.

On the lookout for the absolute best in wireless on the market – a system offering great sound and zero dropout/interference - Thorn, who has played guitar from an early age and attended the Guitar Institute of Technology in Los Angeles, was introduced to AKG’s wireless system through friend and co-guitar star, Steve Stevens of the Billy Idol Band.  With promises of the best sound he will ever hear from Stevens, Thorn immediately started working with DMS700 on tour.

“DMS700 works flawlessly and sounds amazing. It really is the best system I’ve ever used in my career,” stated Thorn.  “The environment scan itself is an amazing feature that allows you to ensure you have zero RF interference, but it’s the true sound AKG provides my music that keeps my performances at their best.  DMS700 is absolutely indistinguishable from an actual cable plugged into my guitar.  When I use DMS700, it’s one less worry I have about my performance.”
