5 Star Supplies 250 Lightweight Cases to CT London

These are being used to house a variety of different monitors and screens that are in active service on major events and broadcast projects. The order comprised casing for 110 x 42 inch screens, 90 x 32 inch screens and 50 x 22 inch screens.

The cases were delivered in just a few days from the Cambridgeshire based manufacturer, while its specialist bag making facility – which has just been expanded to meet increased demands - was kept busy for around three weeks, as the bags are all individually hand-made and finished to order.

The cases and bags were purchased to refresh a whole raft of the protective cases and packaging for CT’s television projects. They will be put to good use on major sporting events like Goodwood races and the PGA European Golf Tour, both projects requiring substantial number of screens and monitors.

The lightweight cases are made from Astroboard, an extremely tough but lightweight honeycombed material which is idea for screens, TVs and monitors. The soft bags offer additional protection for the vulnerable screens and semi-rigid range of bags offer the additional strength of a millboard core sewn into the lining.

5 Star Cases’ new bag and cover venture was launched in the autumn of 2013 and CT is one of a number of high profile clients that has already found it invaluable.

The light weight but durable nature of the new cases has made CT’s kit even more manageable on site, particularly when dealing with tight rigging spaces.

The new lightweight cases are finished in the signature Creative Technology black laminate exterior with yellow base or lid enhancement, together with smart screen-printed Creative Technology branding.
