Stereolabs Launches New Mobile 3D Analyzer at NAB 2012

New products include mobile analyzer, multi-camera controller and 3D content verification software

Stereolabs, a leading provider of Stereo3D solutions for the broadcast and movie industry, will present at NAB 2012 (booth C11.441) a new range of products that simplify 3D production and automate stereo quality control.

“We are very excited with the new lineup because it addresses many key challenges the 3D production community has been facing in the past two years” said Edwin Azzam, CEO of Stereolabs. “At NAB, we will be showing one of the most comprehensive 3D product line in the industry, covering all aspects of stereoscopic content creation, distribution and quality control”.

During the NAB show, Stereolabs will be showcasing its new Stereo3D solutions booth C11.441:

PURE ONSET
PURE analysis engine is now available on laptops. PURE Onset is the first stereo analyzer running on a MacBook Pro. The software captures two SDI streams through Blackmagic Design’s UltraStudio 3D and offers real-time geometry, color and depth analysis, along with advanced monitoring and logging functions. Designed for motion picture and video professionals, PURE Onset enables quick and precise rig alignment, provides mobile quality control capabilities and transmits detailed 3D metadata to third party systems, simplifying dailies management and postproduction of stereoscopic content.

COMMANDER
Commander is a 1RU master control system that provides the ability to monitor and control up to eight 3D camera positions from one single location. Designed for studio and mobile production, Commander simplifies the work of stereographers by gathering geometric, color and depth data from a network of stereo image processors and offers all the information needed to enable fast decision-making during shooting. Commander is compatible with both MPE-200 and PURE systems.

VERITY
Creating 3D content is a technical challenge, and visual inspection alone is not sufficient to guarantee the quality of a stereo footage. Content providers, post production houses and broadcasters need objective, standardized and sharable metrics to qualify the quality of the 3D content they provide.

VERITY is the first automated quality control software for file-based stereo video. VERITY performs extensive checks of video files and provides log reports that outline any geometric, color or depth error in the footage. Performed tests include alignment, scale and focus checks, depth tests, luminance, chrominance, gamut analysis.
