SpycerBox for 4K Broadcast Workflows
On booth 7.E25 at IBC 2013, Rohde & Schwarz DVS GmbH (DVS) will present an unprecedented level of new features for its modular SpycerBox storage solution. Thanks to its openness, high level of accessibility and incredible performance, the SpycerBox is perfectly suited for broadcast and post production workflows. The integration of LTO drives combined with the proven content control software Spycer® supports users in administering their data.
Available in a range of versions, SpycerBox integrates seamlessly into any NAS or SAN storage environment thanks to its wide range of optional interfaces. Mission-critical workflows which demand reliable and parallel mirroring of all data benefit from the high-availability feature set of SpycerBox. SpycerBox's mirrored design ensures continuous operation, guaranteeing performance is upheld even in the event of an outage.
The solid state drives integrated into the SpycerBox Flex SSD enable the device to deliver an unparalleled level of speed and performance, achieving bit rates of over 12 GByte/s. Thanks to this considerable increase in performance, the SpycerBox is perfect for 4K and even 8K workflows. The low latencies of the DVS storage solution also allow effortless handling of intensive IOPS applications with hundreds of connected clients.
Users will find it easier to configure their hardware and software components thanks to the newly developed and highly user-friendly SAN Remo management GUI. Furthermore, they can monitor the system status, as well as analyze performance and bandwidth statistics. The Spycer® content control software also assists users in browsing and administering their data across the entire network. In addition, metadata searches and an offline proxy preview enable users to find data quickly.
