Frontniche have modified this 3D/2D 40" LCD for operation in the 'Broadcast' environment by providing a 3G/HDSDI/SDI + embedded audio input and our own low cost Universal Active Shutter Glasses.
5 pairs of Universal 'Active Shutter Glasses' are supplied with a unique 50/60 Hz 'Flicker Free' design.
An 'Optional' further multiple of 5 pairs can also be ordered at a very cost effective sum of £100/5 pairs.
Frontniche has chosen the Active Shutter (AS) path because the full HD 1080 resolution is not compromised.
The 2 main arguments against AS glasses have been the cost and the 50/60 Hz Flicker.Frontniche has addressed both these issues and hope the AS technology is now reviewed for the Broadcast environment.
The 40" lends itself for Broadcast applications due to its inherent good 'Blacks' in both 3D & 2D modes. The [Colour Space] menu lets calibrators fine-tune the colour performance to near-perfection.
The [White Balance] and [10p White Balance] controls, in theory, allow a calibrator to produce perfect Greyscale reproduction, to avoid the image having any colour bias. The Integrated HD Freeview Tuner, Network active TV and Wi-Fi connectivity also enhance the usefulness of this monitor.
